Cursillo milestone in Diocese of DOdge City
On May 7, 2017, more than 300 people from across the diocese met at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Center in east Dodge City to celebrate 100 Cursillos presented in the Catholic Diocese of Dodge City.
Our Lady of fatima comes to dodge city
The traveling statue of Our Lady of Fatima came to Dodge City May 11 where it stood at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Two of the three children whom Mary communicated with were canonized two days later in Rome.
Diocese welcomes MSFS Provincial from India
Father Chinnappa Reddy, Provincial, Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (MSFS), Visakhapatnam Province, India recently visited the Catholic Diocese of Dodge City. Celebrating Mass at the chapel at the Diocese of Dodge City chancery was Father Dominic Potnuru, MSFS, of Wichita, Bishop John B. Brungardt, Father Reddy, Father Prakash Kola, MSFS, pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Ashland and parochial administrator of Holy Spirit Quasi-Parish, Coldwater, and Father Aneesh Parappanattu, MSFS, Parochial Vicar, Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe. At bottom, Bishop Brungardt presents Father Reddy with the gift of a shawl. In the Indian tradition, the shawl is a sign of honor you bestow upon someone.
